NON-Hartford Residents Only - Annual Student Residency Verification for Students in CREC Magnet Schools


One of the unique aspects of CREC magnet schools, is the many different towns that out children come from. When a child attends a CREC magnet school, they are still considered a student of their home distict (the town in which they reside.) A responsiblity and requirement of attending a CREC magnet school, is that students living in suburban districts must complte an annual residency verification form with their home district. There are two ways for families to do this, as summarized below.

What types of documents are accepted as proofs of residency?

The following documents are required for residency verification:

  • Driver’s License showing your home address AND
  • Electric or gas bill dated within the past two months, showing home address AND
  • A mortgage statement dated within the past two months OR a lease signed within the last year

First day of school, August 29, 2019.
