CREC Schools Operational Status

Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) Schools 2022-2023 reopening plan/operational status, effective August 23, 2022:

  • No mandates for masking or social distancing in schools.
  • No contact tracing will be occurring in schools. CREC Schools will not be reporting weekly CREC COVID data information to families.
  • Students with mild symptoms are permitted to come to school as long as they are fever free.
  • Counties will be monitored for COVID transmission rates. Local decisions will be made about additional mitigation strategies if case counts rise.

  • National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Updates:

    In response to closings, cancellations and changes related to COVID-19, the Eligibility Center is closely monitoring the impact on students and their ability to meet NCAA initial-eligibility requirements. The EC will be posting more information here in the coming days to assist our prospective student-athletes and the high school community.   • The College Board announces that all SAT testing has been canceled until June 6. If you were planning on taking the test on May 2 or missed the test on March 14, here's what you need to know.
