On October 30, CREC Two Rivers Magnet High School will hold its STEM Expo for middle school students who reside in the Hartford area and their families.
During the event, students and families will have the opportunity to tour CREC Two Rivers Magnet High School and meet staff and current students. They will also be able to learn more about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through fun activities.
The Connecticut Science Center will hold demonstrations. The Connecticut Audubon Center and FRESH Farm Aquaponics Center, both of Glastonbury, will also participate, and there will be food, crafts, and face painting for all.
CREC Two Rivers Magnet High School, an interdistrict magnet school that educates students in grades nine through 12, focuses on environmental science in addition to core academic subjects. To attend the school, students must apply through the Greater Hartford Regional School Choice Office lottery, which opens November 1.
