Advisory Councils

CREC Staff Senate

The CREC Staff Senate was formed in September, 2017 and is an advisory body comprised of two staff representatives from each CREC school who meet with the superintendent monthly to discuss important issues facing the district. The Senate is designed to provide a more formal vehicle for staff to have knowledge of, and input into, the administrative decision making process of the CREC Magnet Schools.  The senate is advisory and does not have authority over CREC policies or procedures. The senate offers advice and has the opportunity to offer proposals for the superintendent's consideration.

CREC Schools Advisory Council on LGBTQI+ Affairs

The CREC Schools Advisory Council on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Affairs helps guide the expansion of LGBTQI+ inclusive practices, policies, and curriculum. The Advisory Council coordinates efforts with CREC community members and partnerships toward fostering an inclusive environment in which all students and staff feel safe, respected, and affirmed. The Advisory Council also oversees initiatives that prepare our staff to serve all of their students with excellence, regardless of sexual orientation,  gender identity or expression.
